Arlington Graduation Outside

Despite the light drizzle, the graduation will be on Peirce Field.

There was some question as to whether Arlington High School graduation today would be held inside or out, but it looks like it will stay dry-ish - enough to hold the graduation outside as planned.

"It won't be sunny, but the clouds seem to have passed by, so we will have the graduation on Peirce Field," Principal Charles Skidmore said in an email to parents. "The irrigation system has worked nicely on the field, so that it will be dry for the students to march on.  The benches are still wet; we will dry them down as best as possible."

He advised people to bring umbrellas.

Had it rained heavily or thunderstorms been predicted, the graduation would have been moved inside to the Toz Gym, which only holds about 1,400 people. In the past, this has been difficult because each student is only limited to five guests.
