Arlington's Debt Exclusion Election: Ballot Questions, Polling Locations and More
Here's what you need to know about Arlington's debt exclusion election on Tuesday.

ARLINGTON, MA—Tuesday's debt exclusion election will tackle hotly debated issues in Arlington.
The town is asking for debt exclusions under Proposition 2 1/2 regarding the renovations to the Thompson and Gibbs School Buildings, a feasibility study at Arlington High School and the funds for Arlington's share of the Minuteman School.

Ballot Questions:
Question 1:

The town is asking for a debt exclusion for the renovation of the Thompson and Gibbs School building. Town Meeting approved the borrowing of $2.55 million for the Gibbs School renovation design phase in May. The School Committee and town officials are still deciding on whether to use the Gibbs building as a town-wide sixth grade or a 6-8 grade model.
Question 2:
The town is asking for a debt exclusion to fund a feasibility study to be conducted at Arlington High School in order to analyze the costs and overall feasibility for a re-build at AHS.
Question 3:
The town is asking for a debt exclusion to pay the town's portion of the funds for the new Minuteman School Building. Town Meeting Members approved the funding for the new Minuteman school on May 9.
