Pedestrian Struck By Motor Vehicle On Busy Arlington Street
A portion of the roadway was closed for a period of time.
ARLINGTON, MA — A pedestrian was transported to the hospital after being stuck by a vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue Tuesday morning, according to Arlington police.
Officers and emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 8 a.m., after reports of someone being struck by a vehicle on the busy roadway. The portion of the street between Park Ave and Paul Revere Road was temporarily closed.
"The pedestrian who was struck is a 44-year-old female. She was conscious and alert and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment where she is in stable condition," Arlington Police Captain Richard Flynn told Patch. "The involved motor vehicle remained at the scene of the accident, and the operator has been cooperating with investigators."

The incident will remain under investigation by the department's traffic unit. Flynn is also the Operations-Community Services Commander.
