Renowned writer and cultural anthropologist, Mary Catherine Bateson proposes the concept she calls "active wisdom," a new life stage, Adulthood II. Bateson’s books include With a Daughter’s Eye: A Memoir of Margaret Mead and Gregory Bateson and best-selling Composing a Life. Bateson will explore how 50+ adults can discover their ability to make unique contributions to a just and humane future. Copies of her latest book, Composing a Further Life: The Age of Active Wisdom, will be available for purchase at the book signing to take place at the end of the evening.
