The Arlington Youth Health and Safety Coalition, in collaboration with the Arlington Enrichment Collaborative and Mount Auburn Hospital, will sponsor a five-workshop, parenting series, called Guiding Good Choices (GGC). GGC is open to parents and caregivers of children between the ages of 9 and 14. This program offers proven techniques and effective tools to help parents: improve communication with their children; develop healthy family values and clear behavorial expectations; control and express anger constructively; strengthen family bonds and trust; and prevent children from engaging in substance use and other risky behaviors.
GGC workshops will be facilitated by two professionally trained members of the Arlington Youth and Safety Coalition (AYHSC). This series is funded by the Elizabeth and George L. Sanborn Foundation.
