Renowned writer and cultural anthropologist, Mary Catherine Bateson proposes the concept she calls "active wisdom," a new life stage, Adulthood II. Bateson will explore how 50+ adults can discover their ability to make unique contributions to a just and humane future. Copies of her latest book, Composing a Further Life: The Age of Active Wisdom, will be available for purchase at the book signing to take place at the end of the evening.
Event takes place at the Whittemore Robbins House, located directly behind the library. Doors will open at 6:30pm for networking; the program will begin at 7:00pm. Free and open to the public.
