Stories from Our Sister City: Arlington Teachers Share their Trip to Teosinte

Last August, six of Arlington’s fourth grade teachers spent time in Teosinte, experiencing the culture first hand and making important personal connections with the people and the village.  The goal of this trip was to enrich the Teosinte curriculum that all of the Arlington fourth grades have been teaching for the past three years.  Now these teachers would like to share their stories with you and the Arlington community at a free, town wide event. This is an invaluable opportunity to learn more about the powerful history of Teosinte, see teachers’ photographs, hear their stories and ask questions.

We invite you to join us at this free event on Sunday, April 1st, 3 - 4:30 PM at the Robbins Library, Community Room . There will be a 1 hour presentation followed by an opportunity for Q & A. Beautiful and unique fair trade crafts made in Teosinte’s sewing cooperative will be available to purchase.

Please contact Elizabeth Dray at stdray@aol.com or 781-643-0769 for more information.
