Hardy Elementary Spends Month Moving

'Human Power Month' - a month of biking, walking and running - comes to a successful close.

Eighty-five children walked close to 1,100 miles this month as part of Hardy Elementary's annual Human Power Month this past month.

The theme of the month is moving, whether it is biking or walking and the Hardy students did just that. They walked more than 950 miles. They biked close to 140 and one student even went 34 miles on his own.

According to Lauren Hefferon, one of the organizers of the months, "the average child did 13 miles. It was a great year."
