ARLINGTON, MA—This has been a busy week of news for Arlington Patch. Here are the highlights.

2 Arlington Sex Offenders Get Registration Changes: Police: The Arlington Police Department announced registration changes Tuesday for two sex offenders in Arlington.

Arlington Middle School Expansion Requires Tax Increase: Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine told Patch that town officials are choosing between expanding the Ottoson Middle School, or renovating the Gibbs building into a new middle school. Chapdelaine said that both expansion of the Ottoson school or the renovation of the Gibbs building would require asking taxpayers for a debt exclusion, which would cause a tax increase.

Solar Panels at 6 Arlington Schools Up and Running: The town announced Tuesday that solar panels at Arlington High School, Thompson Elementary School, Stratton Elementary School, The Peirce School, Ottoson Middle School and Dallin Elementary school are up and running. The town engaged in an agreement with the developer, Ameresco, to purchase the electricity at a lower rate than it pays to Eversource.

MA Teacher Evaluations: Did Arlington Make the Grade?: The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has released its educator evaluations for the 2014-2015 school year, including evaluations for Arlington educators.
