Witness Intimidation Charges Filed Against Hyannis Man
The 20-year-old was already facing charges related to the June 25 Main Street shooting investigation in Hyannis.
HYANNIS, MA — A 20-year-old Hyannis man was facing charges of interfering with a police investigation related to the June 25 Main Street shooting. Now, he faces charges relating to an incident at Barnstable District Court just days earlier.
Daishawn Williams, 20, of Hyannis, was arraigned on a single count of intimidation of a witness relating to an incident at the Barnstable District Court on June 22, the Cape and Islands District Attorney announced.
After a dangerousness hearing the Barnstable District Court ordered a cash bail of $7,500 and mandated that Williams wear a GPS monitoring device and obey an order of home confinement.

Williams also faces charges of interfering with a police officer in regard to an investigation of a shooting that occurred on Main Street in Hyannis on June 25.
Williams is one of three people said to have been on the scene during that shooting who now face charges.

Gabriele Leite was said to have initially left the scene of the crime, but witnesses pointed out that he was involved in the shooting, and has now pled not guilty to drug possession charges.
Two people, Allan Monteiro and Williams, are charged with interfering with the investigation. Officials said they didn't follow police directions to stay away from the shooter during their arrest.
A 16-year-old and a 20-year-old face charges related to the shooting.
