Braintree Coronavirus Update: Number Of Cases Rise To 25

BRAINTREE, MA — There are 25 positive cases of the new coronavirus in Braintree as of Saturday night, according to the latest numbers from local health officials.
The number of cases continues to rise across the state, and additional measures to stem its spread continue to be implemented. The governor has declared a Stay at Home advisory. All non-essential businesses have been closed.
As of Saturday afternoon, there were 4,257 cases of COVID-19 and 44 deaths in Massachusetts. Of those cases, 490 were in Norfolk County.

As more testing becomes available, state health officials expect case counts across the state and at home to rise.

Mayor Charles Kokoros has created a community task force to help residents during the COVID-19 crisis. The task force has run two drives for food and medical supplies to help residents and first responders in town.
