Braintree Working on Second Weymouth Landing Project

Mayor Joseph Sullivan said the town is close to designating a developer.

After approving one Weymouth Landing project earlier this year, Braintree is already working on a second one, according to mayor Joseph Sullivan.

Sullivan, along with Weymouth Mayor Susan Kay spoke at the 8th annual forum on the redevelopment of the Landing, sponsored by the Braintree and Weymouth Chambers of Commerce, according to the Patriot Ledger. The Braintree mayor said the town is close to designating a developer for the old Braintree Electric Light Department property on Allen Street. The project would see 32 to 53 condominiums on the 1.6 acre site.

A decision and formal selection is expected in the next couple of weeks.
