Brookline Schools Remain Closed And Parking Ban Remains In Effect For Second Day
The snow emergency and parking ban is slated to end on Wednesday morning.
BROOKLINE, MA — A major blizzard hit Massachusetts on Monday, and many communities in are dealing with well over one foot of snow.
Parts of Norfolk County received more than 16 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Brookline took precautions ahead of the storm, including closing schools and non-essential town offices on Monday.
Public schools remained closed on Tuesday for a second straight day. In addition, the townwide snow emergency and street parking ban will remain in effect until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The police department emphasized Tuesday that the community should minimize vehicle travel until the snow is better cleared.
