• ShotSpotter technology reactivated across city of Cambridge (cbsnews.com) — Cambridge has reactivated its ShotSpotter gunshot detection system across all previously covered areas after the July 4 killing of city employee Xavier Bautista and intense public safety concerns. The move reverses a prior City Council decision to halt the technology over privacy issues, following pressure from police unions, residents, and Bautista's family at a community meeting.
