Book it: Concord Festival of Authors returns with new features, old favorites (concordbridge.org) — Concord's long-running Festival of Authors kicks off October 8, bringing dozens of author talks, panels, and performances to the Main Library, Fowler Branch, and venues across town through October 29. Residents can hear from local and national writers, attend special events like "Breakfast with the Authors" at Concord's Colonial Inn, and explore everything from mystery and romance to history and environmental fiction.

Concord Police log highlights: September 16-22, 2026 (concordbridge.org) — Concord residents can see a snapshot of recent police activity from September 16–22, including traffic complaints, minor crashes, a Main Street break-in, animal calls, and several well-being checks. MCI-Concord Has a New Name, and Potential Development Plan (bankerandtradesman.com) — Plans for the former MCI-Concord site could bring up to 1,000 homes, significant retail space, and new open areas in a proposed "West Concord Junction" district, but nothing is approved yet.
