Dedham Greenspace Coalition to Host Charles River Watershed Association's Executive Director Emily Norton

DEDHAM, MA, The Dedham Greenspace Coalition will host its June monthly meeting on Thursday, June 25, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Reynolds TLC Studios, 390 Washington St., Dedham Square. The gathering will feature guest speaker Emily Norton, Executive Director of the Charles River Watershed Association.

The Clean Water Act of 1972 sought to work toward rivers that are safe, healthy, fishable, and swimmable by 1983. While that deadline proved elusive, the Greater Boston region is actually well on its way to a swimmable Charles.

Dedham Greenspace Coalition Co-Founder Paul Reynolds notes, “Emily will remind us that by working together, we can achieve a clean future for the river, and realize the promise of the Clean Water Act for every community along the 80 miles of river way from Hopkinton to Dedham - right down to the Boston Harbor.”

The event invites Dedham residents, civic leaders, environmental advocates, educators, students, and anyone interested in protecting both green and blue to come together for an evening of learning, conversation, and inspiration.

The Dedham Greenspace Coalition’s June meeting is free and open to the public.
