Dedham Greenspace Coalition Announces Story Slam: “Reflections on an Outdoor Experience”
Dedham, MA — March 24, 2026— The Dedham Greenspace Coalition invites community members to an evening of storytelling, connection, and celebration of the natural world at its upcoming Story Slam, “Reflections on an Outdoor Experience.” The event will take place on Thursday, April 23, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reynolds Center, 390 Washington Street, Dedham.

This engaging community event will feature local storytellers sharing personal, true stories inspired by their time outdoors—whether meaningful moments in nature, unexpected adventures, or reflections on the changing landscape around us. Attendees can expect an evening filled with humor, insight, and inspiration as participants bring their outdoor experiences to life.
The Story Slam is open to all, whether you’d like to share a story or simply listen and enjoy. Community members interested in telling a story are encouraged to prepare a short, personal narrative connected to the theme. No prior storytelling experience is necessary. The evening will be moderated by Dedham resident and seasoned story slam winner, Mark Scherfling.

Dedham Greenspace Coalition Executive Director Carol Hills shared, “The goal of this event is to bring people together through shared experiences in nature. We hope these stories will deepen our appreciation for the outdoors and strengthen our sense of community.”
Light refreshments will be available. Admission is $10. Tickets available online.
