Jimmy Fund Thief from Dedham Turns Himself in at Mom's Insistence: Police
David Dashiro, 44, turned himself into police on Friday after his mother saw surveillance footage on television.

A man caught on camera stealing a donation canister for the Jimmy Fund has turned himself in.
David Dashiro, 44, of Dedham, turned himself into police Friday after his mother saw the surveillance video on television and told him to turn himself in according to WHDH.
He was arraigned Friday afternoon at Dedham District Court, according to the Norwood Police Department.

In the surveillance footage posted by the Norwood Police Department, a man can be seen at the cash register at AJay’s Market on Walpole Street taking the canister, which is used to help raise money for cancer research.
As part of the program, the cans are placed around town near registers in the hopes that people will donate their change.
