Legacy Place Kicks Off Patriot's Day Weekend With "One Mile Walk as One"

What: LEGACY PLACE TO HOST A ONE BOSTON DAY WALK IN SUPPORT OF THE GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK

Time: 9am-10am

Dedham, MA – Legacy Place is kicking off Patriot’s Day weekend by inviting the community to join them for the “One Mile Walk as One” in celebration of One Boston Day. One Boston Day, started in 2015, celebrates the resiliency, generosity, and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston and those around the world in response to the tragedy of April 15th, 2013.

This upbeat and fun outdoor event is a one-mile walk consisting of two laps around Legacy Place. Upon completion of the walk, guests will be able to decorate a bench on the Legacy Place sidewalks with ribbons and heartfelt messages in celebration of the city of Boston.

Whole Foods Market and Shake Shack will provide light refreshments and life-size games such as oversized tic-tac-toe, connect-4 and cornhole will be on hand for a little celebratory fun.

Guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item donation for the Greater Boston Food Bank. Greater Boston Food Bank is in the greatest need of items such as canned proteins, like tuna, pastas, healthy cereal, canned vegetables, and grains.

The Gardens at Legacy Place is located at 950 Providence Highway, Dedham, MA 02026, directly in front of Shake Shack.
