Mobile Clinician - Mental Health Division

Overview:

Advocates is seeking open-minded, compassionate professionals to offer basic to high-level clinical support and life-skills coaching to individuals who are in need.

The Mobile Clinician will provide independent clinical supervision and rehabilitative direction to a caseload of clients who carry a diagnosis of major mental illness. In addition, the Mobile Clinician will assist in the collaborative coordination of services for individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster an approachable, client-centered, healthy and proactive approach toward clients, staff and providers.
  • Execute delivery of client services to include intake, treatment planning, crisis intervention, evaluation, and coordination of other services to achieve client goals.
  • Participate in the development of the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and Individual Action Plans (IAP) and attend other treatment meetings.
  • Identify and address community integration issues for clients and work toward community integration/inclusion.
  • Provide clinical direction and support to program participants that address their identified goals and result in skill development.
  • Communicate program participant's progress, mental status, and any changes in daily notes, monthly submission of progress notes and submission treatment plans as needed.
  • Monitor the up-keep of the program site, as well as individual client residences.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent degree and two years' related experience; or Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including note-taking and proper documentation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where independent successes benefit the team.
  • Exemplary analytical and reasoning skills, and ability to think creatively.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
