Town Meeting Backs Funding for Public Safety Building Schematics
At this week's Special Town Meeting, representatives approved Article 3, which appropriates $1.15 million to create the schematic designs.

DEDHAM, MA — The public safety building project took another step forward Monday night.
At this week's Special Town Meeting, representatives approved Article 3, which appropriates $1.15 million to create the schematic designs of a Combined Public Safety Building as part of the Municipal Campus. The design will use funds originally authorized for Article 19 of 2014 Annual Town Meeting.
Plans for the municipal complex call for the former Ames School to be renovated into the new Town Hall, with the current Town Hall becoming the public safety building. About $4.5 million will be needed for the design phase, Town Manager James Kern said in October.
