Water Main Break, Serious Crash Slow Down Morning Commute

DEDHAM, MA — The first commute of the week was not an easy one for drivers on Route 128 North in Dedham in Norwood.

The problems started at about 6 a.m. when a crash at exit 19, according to the Total Traffic Network. The crash caused stop and go traffic to exit 18 and a delay of six minutes. About 15 minutes later, a water main break was reported in Dedham on Route 1 North near Legacy Place and just after Route 128, according to NECN.

Two lanes were eventually closed for the Needham crash, with traffic slowing down back to exit 14. The delay was 19 minutes with traffic backed up to Exit 12, TTN reported.
