Rental Information for Event Below::
For everyone asking about the kayak rentals for the Paddle Natick event — here are the details!
We have arranged delivery of professional grade Old Town kayaks directly to the launch site. These are the same boats used by paddling centers across New England — stable, comfortable, and perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
What is available:
Single Kayak — Old Town Loon 120
Perfect for a solo paddler. Exceptionally stable and easy to maneuver. One of the most popular recreational kayaks in New England.

Tandem Kayak — Old Town Dirigo Tandem Plus
Perfect for two people — a great option for couples, friends, or a parent and child. Stable and easy to paddle together.

The Cost
Delivery and pickup to the site averages approximately $100 per boat. We are actively seeking sponsors to bring that cost down — and our goal is to make rental boats free or close to free for everyone who wants to paddle.
Every dollar donated to our GiveButter campaign goes directly toward covering rental costs so that nobody is left on shore because of cost. If you want to sponsor a boat visit our fundraising page. https://givebutter.com/paddle-the-dam-get-natick-on-the-water-before-its-gone-jguiix
Spots are Limited
We are limiting rentals to approximately 32 people from a logistics and coordination standpoint. If you want a rental boat reserve your spot now — reply to this post or send a private message with:
• Single or tandem kayak
• Number of people in your group
• Contact information for confirmation
You do not need experience. These boats are designed for beginners and the South Natick impoundment is calm flatwater — one of the most beautiful and most canoeable stretches of the entire Charles River according to the Charles River Watershed Association’s own 1973 guide.
Bring your own boat if you have one — canoes, kayaks, paddleboards all welcome. The more boats on the water the better.
Not a paddler? We need volunteers on shore too — reply and let us know if you would like to help.
See you on the water. 🌊
