Cape Cod Hit-And-Run Crash: Driver Charged

A driver struck and seriously injured a Natick bicyclist in Sandwich then fled the scene, police said.

SANDWICH, MA — A bicyclist was seriously injured after a driver struck him in Sandwich Sunday night then fled the scene, police said. The bicyclist, a 25-year-old from Natick, was medflighted to Rhode Island Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver was located and charged with leaving the scene of a crash. The driver's identity was not released. Police said they found the suspect vehicle in Marston Mills in Barnstable but did not release the suspect's identity.

The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. on Route 6A. The bicyclist was found unconscious, police said.
