Driver Trapped After Hitting Falmouth Overpass

FALMOUTH, MA — A driver crashed into a Route 28 overpass on Route 151 in Falmouth Tuesday, authorities said. The driver suffered serious injuries to his lower extremities. The crash happened Tuesday at about 6 a.m.; the driver was trapped in the vehicle, police said.

Falmouth Fire/Rescue used cutting equipment to free the driver, who was then transported to Falmouth Hospital. Police said the driver was cited in connection with the crash. His identity was not released.
