DUI Crash In Falmouth; Pot Charge For Driver: Police

Police said Anna Nocchi, of Hyannis, struck a vehicle and was found with open containers of marijuana and alcohol in her vehicle.

FALMOUTH, MA — A woman from Hyannis was arrested in Falmouth Monday after police said she was drunk when she hit a parked car. Anna Nocchi, 26, had open containers of marijuana and alcohol in her vehicle, police said. She was charged with a host of crimes.

Police said on Monday at about 8 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Main Street after a report Nocchi was driving erratically.

"The officer found the vehicle traveling in the opposite direction and observed the operator texting," Falmouth police said in a statement. "The officer turned the patrol car around, then witnessed the vehicle strike a parked car and continue to travel along Main Street. The vehicle was immediately stopped and the operator was arrested."

Nocchi was charged with drunk driving, negligent driving, possessing open containers of marijuana and alcohol in a vehicle, texting while driving and a lane violation.
