Falmouth Fire: Home Gutted On Carriage Shop Road
A two-alarm fire broke out in Falmouth May 14, 2017.
FALMOUTH, MA — A fire in Falmouth Sunday morning gutted a Carriage Shop Road residence in the eastern part of town, officials said. The fire broke out at about 5 a.m. No one was hurt.

Firefighters said they "encountered heavy smoke and fire" coming from the two-story residence.

"Heavy fire conditions throughout the house made an interior attack impossible," fire officials said in a statement. Mashpee firefighters were called to the scene to help extinguish the flames.
The residence was "extensively damaged." The cause of the fire is under investigation.
