Falmouth Police: Drunk Driver Arrested After Chase
Falmouth police said Ashley White, of Middleboro, crashed while driving drunk then fled the scene and fought officers.
FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth police said a woman was drunk when she crashed, fled the scene then fought officers who arrested her Friday. Ashley White, 26, of Middleboro, was charged with a host of crimes. Police said they found an open container of alcohol in her vehicle.

The incident happened Friday at about 5 p.m. A bystander flagged down an officer to report a crash.

"As the officer pulled over one of the operators fled on foot, but was quickly caught," Falmouth police said in a statement.
White was charged with drunk driving, resisting arrest, driving without a license, assault of a police officer, leaving the scene of a crash, disorderly conduct, negligent driving and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Police said she also had an unrelated warrant.
