FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth police said a woman was drunk and driving around with her dog when she crashed into a utility pole and rolled over near Crabapple's Restaurant Saturday. The 31-year-old woman suffered a neck injury; her dog and a passenger were not hurt, according to police. The crash happened Saturday at about 1 a.m. on Palmer Avenue, part of Route 28. The suspect's name was not released.
The woman was driving a 2008 Mercury sport utility vehicle north on Palmer Avenue when for an unknown reason she veered off the road and hit a utility pole, police said. The impact rolled the vehicle on its side and then back upright. Falmouth Fire/Rescue members pulled the woman from the scene of the wreckage and transported her to Falmouth hospital.
