Fundraiser For Falmouth Officer Injured In Shooting
Proceeds will benefit the family of Officer Don DeMiranda, who was one of two Falmouth police officers shot Friday evening.

FALMOUTH, MA – A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for Falmouth Police Officer Don DeMiranda, his wife and three children. DeMiranda, one of two officers injured in a shooting in East Falmouth Friday evening, was shot once in the vest and once in the shoulder. He underwent surgery to remove the bullet Monday.
DeMiranda's salary, regular benefits and medical bills will be covered by the town of Falmouth; however, during his recovery, his wife will have to take time off from work to care for him. DeMiranda will also be unable to work overtime or police details.
Money raised by the campaign will give the family breathing room to pay their bills while DeMiranda recovers, according to the fundraising page.
