Snowplow Driver Accused Of Targeting Protesters In Falmouth

Demonstrators protesting the declaration of a national emergency accused the 31-year-old of intentionally hitting them with snow.

FALMOUTH, MA – A snowplow driver will face criminal charges after protesters accused him of targeting them in Falmouth. John Pimental, 31, of Mashpee, will be summoned to court on charges of disorderly conduct and assault, according to reports.

Protesters gathered on the Village Green Monday afternoon told police the plow drove past them twice, intentionally hitting them with snow. The demonstrators were protesting President Trump's declaration of a national emergency for a border wall, Capecod.com reported.

The snowplow is privately owned, police told Capecod.com. No injuries were reported.
