Plow Driver Gets Probation For Targeting Protesters In Falmouth

Mashpee resident John Pimental was also ordered to write a letter of apology.

FALMOUTH, MA — A snowplow driver who targeted a group of people protesting President Trump's declaration of a national emergency was given community service and ordered to write a letter of apology, according to the Cape Cod Times. John Pimental, 32, of Mashpee, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault in February after protesters gathered on the Village Green told police he drove his plow past them twice, intentionally hitting them with snow.

Pimental admitted to sufficient facts in the disorderly conduct charge, the Times reported. Prosecutors will not pursue the assault charge.

Pimental will perform 20 hours of community service and be on supervised probation for 50 months. Falmouth ended its contract with him shortly after he was charged.
