Town Ends Contract With Plow Driver After Targeting Accusations
Demonstrators protesting the national emergency accused the man of intentionally hitting them with snow.
FALMOUTH, MA – The town has ended its contract with a snow plow driver accused of targeting demonstrators protesting President Trump's declaration of a national emergency. Town Manager Julian Suso told Boston.com John Pimental has been removed from the list of contractors, adding that the accusations are "incompatible" with having him as a contractor.
Pimental, a Mashpee resident, has been charged with disorderly conduct and assault. Protesters gathered on the Village Green last week told police the plow drove past them twice, intentionally hitting them with snow.
Pimental is a private contractor, according to police.
