The group “Queen Victoria’s Secret” will highlight the upcoming meeting of the Woods Hole Woman’s Club with a performance of often whimsical and amusing British and American country music, mostly from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Musicians Ron Geering, Barbara Blair, Wendell Bishop, and Tim Radford will perform in period costume on period instruments including fiddle, whistles, recorders, serpent (a snake-shaped bass wind instrument), concertina, and percussion.

The public is invited to join club members at 11:30 am on Tuesday, December 10th at The Church of the Messiah Parish and Community Center, 16 Church Street in Woods Hole. Light refreshments will be served and those attending may bring a brown bag lunch if they wish.

Since its founding in 1914, The Woods Hole Woman’s Club has worked to enhance the lives of those in Woods Hole and surrounding communities. Members raise money for college scholarships and support community organizations through various club activities. Most meetings are held at 11:30 AM on the second Tuesday of each month from October through April with occasional events scheduled in the evening. New members are welcomed at any time during the year. Information about membership is available from Carol Casey at 508-299-8330.
