State Trooper Struck By Driver On Route 25: Police
A driver slammed into a Massachusetts State Police trooper's cruiser on Route 25 Wednesday, authorities said.

WAREHAM, MA — A driver slammed into a Massachusetts State Police trooper's cruiser on Route 25 in Wareham Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Police said the trooper, who was on patrol out of the Middleborough barracks, was parked a Ford Interceptor in the center median near Exit 2. A 25-year-old New Bedford woman driving a Honda Civic veered into the cruiser, striking the passenger side, police said.

The trooper and woman were both injured and transported to Tobey Hospital in Wareham. Police said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
