FOXBOROUGH, MA - New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones has apologized for his actions that put him in the hospital Sunday morning.

“I want to start by saying I made a pretty stupid mistake this weekend. Right now, my main focus is becoming the best player I can be and helping the team and focusing on Kansas City,” he said.

“I know it sounds repetitive and like I’m repeating myself but that’s what it is right now, becoming the best 95 I can be and help this team out,” Jones said.

Sunday morning, the Patriots defensive end was spotted outside the Foxborough Public Safety building in a confused state. In his report, officer David Fosaldo said he saw an individual with a muscular build, over six feet tall, and long arms go through the cruiser lot towards the building’s back entrance for police in a hurried fashion. Without warning or provocation, Jones got down on his knees, with his hands behind his head.
