Driver Crashes Into Marblehead Police Cruiser

Police said the crash happened around 11 a.m. as the officer was conducting a traffic stop near the Glover School. While the officer was in his cruiser reviewing registration information, a female driver struck the cruiser, police said.

Earthquake Recorded Off Massachusetts Coast

An earthquake hit about 30 miles off the Massachusetts coast Tuesday night, registering a magnitude-2.2.

10:42 a.m. A caller on Ocean Avenue said there was a needle at the beach by the children's playground.

Bags of Cocaine, Weedwhacking Trespasser, Youth Vandals: Marblehead Police Log

8:40 a.m. A woman on Stramski Way said she found bags of cocaine and condoms on her property. She said the items didn't belong to her and said there's frequent drug activity on her street.
