• The state desperately needs more housing. Could an old Army barracks at Devens be part of the answer? (bostonglobe.com) — Massachusetts officials are eyeing underused state properties to ease the housing crunch, and Medfield is part of that push. A long-discussed Trinity Financial apartment project at the old Medfield State Hospital is cited as one of several state-backed efforts that could finally move forward, potentially bringing hundreds of new homes while larger redevelopment debates continue at Devens and beyond.
