The second annual “Friends of Medford Baseball” Shotgun Scramble Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, June 27 at the Mt. Hood Golf Course in Melrose with an 8 a.m. start. Proceeds from the tournament will go to both the Medford baseball program as well as Autism Speaks.
Earlier in the year, MHS baseball held a Comedy Night and raised $400 in a gift basket for the Teamsters Local 25 Autism Gala and learned from that event the importance of raising more funds for such a important cause.
Cost of the event is $150 per golfer and $600 for a foursome (20 percent donated to Autism Speaks). People can also sponsor a hole for $100.
