Andre Chiefs Advance in Playoffs

Andre Chief's Mike DiCato’s single in the ninth inning brought Nick Leva home in and sealed the Watertown Reds 3-2 in the third and deciding game of the Intercity League first round playoff series, according to the game report on the Chief's website.

The game, played Saturday at Tufts University in Medford, was tied at 2-2 after a back and forth game.

Watertown struck first in the top of the fourth, when Steve Busby hit an RBI single to right center.

The loss ends Watertown's season, while the Chiefs move on to the ICL semifinals, where they will face Wakefield. The first game is Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Wakefield, according to the ICL website.
