Big Bump In Parking Cost Coming To Medford T Stop

MEDFORD, MA – Medford residents who commute through the Wellington MBTA stop will soon get slapped with a parking rate hike. The MBTA is increasing parking prices at many of its most popular stations and lowering them at some of the more seldom used stops. In others, prices will stay the same.

Not at Wellington, though. Parking will jump from $6 to $9 on weekdays starting Aug. 1. The weekend rate will be $4.

The West Medford Commuter Rail stop will keep its $5 rate, and it will cost $2 to park there on weekends.

If you're willing to make the trek to Malden Center, parking there is only being raised to $7.50 on weekdays.
