Medford Pop Warner Colts Announce New Season Of Football And Cheering

For over 35 years, the Medford Pop Warner Colts have been providing the children of Medford the opportunity to play football and cheer. Other programs may imitate, but can never duplicate what Pop Warner has to offer.

Medford Pop Warner Colts is part of Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc., the longest standing children’s football and cheerprogram in the USA. Along with learning the sports of football and cheerleading, Pop Warner instills excellence in the classroom as well. This Memorial Day Weekend, football players and cheerleaders from all over the country will gather at Walt Disney World to honor their All American Scholars.  Here, they will present over $100,000 in scholarships to the top ranked students eighth grade and above.

Regionally, scholar athletes were honored at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on March 31 where over $50,000 in scholarships were awarded! Pop Warner’s structure of age and weight schematic offers the safest conditions for children to learn the sport of football.

In this upcoming 2012 season, the Medford Pop Warner Colts will offer the Patriot Division for their Midget level having unlimited weight (based on the participants age). Medford Pop Warner Colts offers football and cheerleading for children ages 5 to 15. If your child is born between 8/1/1996 and 7/31/2007, they can be apart of this nationally ranked organization.

The Medford Colts are part of the Greater Boston League, playing their weekly football games in local areas. Once again, the Colts will begin their practices on August 1 at Carr Park, a place they are proud to call the practice home of the Medford Colts!  The Medford Pop Warner program prides themselves in participating locally, regionally and nationally, showcasing their talents to audiences from across the country!

If you’d like to join our program, either as participant, coach or volunteer, we’d love to meet you! Registration fees for the upcoming 2012 season are $50 for returning players /cheerleaders and $75 for new players /cheerleaders. We’re proud to say for the first time in many years, the cheerleaders along with the football players will be provided their uniform—no longer making their cheer uniform purchase!
