Brooks School Student Wins Honorable Mention in MWRA Writing Contest; Boston Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Spa
Medford students wins for essay "Imagine the Difference You Could Make"

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is pleased to announce that Gwen Stein, a third grader at the Brooks School, Medford, won Honorable Mention in MWRA’s Annual Writing Contest. This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to write essays and poems about how MWRA workers do their jobs in all kinds of weather. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, May 26 at the Deer Island Treatment Plant. City of Boston Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Space and MWRA Board Member Austin Blackmon attended the ceremony and congratulated the winners. All of the winning videos, posters and essays are on the MWRA website.
