SPECIAL: Circular Tango – Giros, Direction & Flow (with Macelo "El Chino" Gutierrez)

Event Details
In this workshop, Marcelo "El Chino" Gutierrez explores the mechanics of circular movement:
Circular movement is one of the most dynamic elements of tango. Giros allow dancers to navigate the floor, change direction, and create continuous flow within the embrace.
In this workshop, Marcelo explores the mechanics of circular movement: pivots, axis control, leader displacement, and the relationship between the dancer in the center and the dancer moving around it.
By refining these elements, dancers gain better control of turns and discover new ways to transition between linear and circular movement.
Why you need it
Giros appear in almost every tango conversation on the social floor.
Improving them helps you:
-navigate crowded milongas
-create smoother transitions
-improve balance and pivots
-expand your improvisation options
Understanding circular movement dramatically expands what is possible in your dance.
