Researchers at McLean Hospital are investigating factors that put young individuals at risk for depression. By participating, you and your child can help them better understand, prevent, and treat adolescent depression. Teens will answer questions about their thoughts and feelings. Teen will also undergo an fMRI brain scan. Parent permission is required for teens under 18. In this 8 week course, students will engage in a practice to support building bone, learning twelve poses that specifically help maintain and build bone strength. These poses, based on the scientific research of Dr Loren Fishman, are shown to enhance bone strength as well as improve posture and balance, increase range of motion and reduce anxiety. Students will be guided in setting up a daily home practice for maximum benefit.
