Details of Medford's Annual Holiday Celebration

Medford’s Annual Holiday Celebration is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Medford City Hall’s parking lots.

At the celebration, there will be:

  • Lightings of a Christmas Tree, Hanukkah Menorah and Kwanza Kinara
  • Ice sculptures with a Disney’s Frozen theme
  • A visit from Santa Claus and his elves
  • A Jingle Bell decorated tree festival (inside City Hall)
  • 105.7 WROR’s Street Team, with music and games for kids
  • Princess Elsa and Princess Anna from Disney’s Frozen, the Boston Red Sox’s mascot Wally the Green Monster, the Boston Bruins’ mascot Blades the Bear, the Bruins’ Ice Girls and Patch the Armstrong Ambulance Clown
  • Pony rides, hayrides, a kiddie moonwalk, kiddie merry go round and face painting
  • Performances by: “Los Rubios,” Medford High School’s singing quartet; The Dance Studio of Medford; and Goulding School of Irish Dance
  • Food trucks: Including Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, the Chicken & Rice Guys, Dean’s Special Events (fried dough and fried Oreos) and Fred’s Franks, along with pizza from the Medford High baseball team, courtesy of Lisa’s Pizzeria
  • A bake sale from Medford’s Kids’ Corner
  • Wreaths for sale from the Medford Boy Scouts
  • Backpacks and Boston Celtics tickets for sale from the McGlynn School PTO

The event is free, but attendees are asked to bring a NEW, UNWRAPPED toy to donate to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
