Donation to Medford Police Department to Help First Responders

Medford Police Department receives donation of plush "Trouble the Dogs" to help First Responders soothe children in crisis

The Medford Police Department recently received a donation of plush "Trouble the Dogs" to help children in crisis. The donation was made possible thanks to generous community support from Lister Insurance, Murray Supply and Design, Stephens Automotive Transport Services, Creative Design Interiors, Inc., and Riverside Sheet Metal. Sheila Duncan, Founder of The Kennek Foundation and Betsy Lister, owner, Lister Insurance, facilitated the donation as a way to support Medford community first responders.

The Kennek Foundation provides support to first responders and children in crisis through the "Trouble On The Scene" program with the help of the character, Trouble the Dog. Trouble plush dogs will be utilized by first responders in Medford to give to children in the event of an accident, fire, or other emergency. "I'm so grateful for the arrival of 'Trouble the Dog' at our police department. This is a game changer for the officer on the street. Trouble will bring comfort to kids in need in the form of hugs and love," noted Medford Chief of Police, Jack Buckley.

Participating in the donation are, L to R: Medford Chief of Police, Jack Buckley; Sheila Duncan, Founder, The Kennek Foundation; State Rep. Paul Donato; Betsy Lister, owner, Lister Insurance, City Councilor Richard Caraviello; Mayor-Elect Breanna Lungo-Koehn; Officer Julia Pothier-Wilson; and Detective Sergeant Shawn Norton.
