Everett Casino Proposal, Winter Parking Ban on City Council’s Agenda

Today is Tuesday, June 4. Here are five things you need to know.

1.) The City Council will discuss the Everett casino proposal and the city’s “Winter Parking Ban” tonight. See the above agenda for more. The council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

2.) Due to Monday’s rainout, the second-seeded Medford High baseball team will now host No. 7 Billerica at 4 p.m. Thursday at Playstead Park in the quarterfinals of the Division 1 North bracket. Medford defeated Haverhill 11-7 in the first round, Billerica trounced Waltham 14-1.

3.) Update on Friday’s tanker spill into the Mystic River.

4.) I-93 south will be closed at 11 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.
