Kurukulla Center is excited to announce the third annual Sakadawa Interfaith Celebration!

This is our third year of coming together in celebration and prayers for world peace and harmony. Join us among friends from all religions to celebrate Buddha's birth, 2,634 years ago, on Saturday May 14th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

Sakadwa, falling on the fourth full moon after the Tibetan New Year, is the day we commemorate Buddha's birth, enlightenment and passing. Astrologically, it is a time when the energy two weeks before and two weeks after the full moon is greatly increased. The day of the actual full moon - Sakadawa - is incredibly auspicious. There is great benefit for your spiritual practice to be especially engaged in positive actions, as much as you can on this day!

We had a packed house for our celebration last year and expect to have one again this year!

The celebration is a chance to support the important work of Kurukulla Center. An important mission of the Center is to fulfill the wishes of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and as such His Holiness encourages his students and others to have interfaith dialogue and gatherings with brothers and sisters of different faiths. This is a beautiful way to nourish our community and ourselves.
