Medford Announces 6 Spring Roadway Projects

Here's when road work is expected to start and end throughout the city this season.

MEDFORD, MA — The city on Monday announced six roadway projects for the spring. Construction has already started on three of the projects.

Paris Street
On April 1, 2019 the construction began for Paris St. The street has been prepared for pulverizing and the binder course of paving will be set on April 11. Curb and sidewalks will be started after the binder is placed during the week of April 15. Paris Street should be completely repaved by around June 1.

Governors Ave.
On April 1, 2019 work began to finish the sidewalk and curb on Governors Ave from Lawrence Road to Hutchins Road. The grinding will begin the week of April 15 and paving will begin April 22. The remainder of Governors Avenue will be complete by the fall.

Forest St./Lawrence Rd.
On April 1, 2019 work began to finish the sidewalk and curb on sections of Forest Street from Roosevelt Circle to Medford Square. Lawrence Rd. will be re-done from Clifton St to Forest St. Roadway grinding will begin during the week of April 15. Paving will be done during the week of April 22.

Linden St.
On April 5, 2019 the manhole frames and covers will be lowered. Pulverization of the street will begin on April 15. The binder course will be laid on April 10 followed by the curb and sidewalk work on April 15. The paving is scheduled to be done during the week of April 22.

Auburn Street
On April 15, 2019 work on Auburn street will begin. Sidewalk and curb work will be complete followed by the milling and paving of the road. The current schedule has the work to be completed by June 30.

Windsor & Hinsdale Roads
On May 27, 2019 work on Windsor and Hinsdale will begin. The sidewalk and curb will be re-done followed by the milling and paving of both roads. The current schedule has the work completed by June 30.
